Appointed Persons - First Aid Course
The syllabus includes:
- First Aid Priorities
- Unconsciousness
- Examining a Casualty
- Regulations
- Burns and Scalds
- Basic Life Support
- First Aid Kits
- Control of Bleeding
- Managing Incidents
- Recording & Reporting
Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the student, there is no formal final examination. Those students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with a certificate that is valid for a period of three years.
Cost
The cost of this course for up to 14 candidates is £325 + VAT when run at your venue or alternatively two courses can be run on the same day for £525 + VAT. This includes certification and a manual for each student. There are no additional costs.
To compliment our courses we offer the following services:
- Ample notification of when an employee's certification is due for renewal, thus allowing time to adjust shift patterns etc.
- Free appraisals of your current first aid arrangements, including personnel and equipment.
- Training days and mini-exercises that are designed to refresh and challenge your First Aiders, including video de-brief and a full written report.
