Basic Weapons Awareness & Recognition Course


Course Overview
This half-day course is a ground level introduction to weapons awareness and recognition for law enforcement, defence and security personnel and anyone else whose role could potentially bring them into contact, or exposes them to the threat of weapons.
It is the worlds first fully accredited basic Weapons Awareness and Recognition training programme.

The course has been developed for:
- Security Personnel
- Door Supervisors
- Event Stewards
- Community Wardens
- Policing
- Hospital Staff
- Lone Workers
- Teachers & Educational staff
- Retail Management
- Publicans
- Medical Centres
- Taxi drivers
- Estate Agents
- In fact anyone whose job might bring them into contact with people and weapons.

The Course Objective:
- Promote safety and to prevent injury and loss of life by getting people to think differently about weapons.
- Show and explain the various types of weapons and includes made, adapted, intended & disguised.
- The emphasis on the course is on personal and public safety.

Certification
This course carries a nationally recognised ‘Skills for Security' certificate in Weapons Awareness & Recognition Training for each student who successfully completes the course.
