Fire Awareness Instructors Course

The course is run over three days and covers two essential areas:
In-depth fire knowledge-designed to give students the extra knowledge to enable them to train effectively
Teaching and training practice
Delegates will be assessed and receive CIEH level 2 Award in Fire Safety Principles.
In addition students will receive training and advice in delivering fire courses. Students will also deliver a minimum of one practical and one theory session each during the course. This will be assessed, and feedback given to the potential instructor, by a senior member of Aid Training.
Upon successful completion students will be qualified to train their staff in the following subjects:
Causes of workplace fires
The fire triangle
Action in the event of fire
Fire fighting
Fire extinguishers
Practical fire extinguishing
The fire action plan
The role and duties of the Fire Marshal
An overview of fire risk assessment
An overview of fire warning system
Due to the nature of the course it is recommended,but not essential, that students attending have a:
Training qualification and/or experience
Background in health and safety
The cost of this course when attending an open course is £375 + VAT per student. This covers certification, manuals and tea/coffee.
The cost of this course is £2250 + VAT for up to 10 students when run at your venue. Additional students are charged at £250 + VAT per person. This includes certification and manuals for each student.
