ILM Level 2 Award in Team Leading


This four-day Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) course covers the essential elements of being an effective Team Leader. This course is the foundation or entry level and as such there are no pre-course requisites. It is a good starting point for both participants who are new to their roles or who are aspiring team leaders, for them to gain a solid understanding of the principles and practicalities of leading a team.

Course Objectives
At the end of the course successful candidates will:
- Have a good understanding of the team leader role
- Know how to motivate and gain the best from their teams
- Have practical skills and knowledge they can quickly transfer to the workplace
- Gain a nationally recognised award

Outline of the Modules Covered
The programme includes an induction, tutorial and three units:
- Developing yourself as a team leader
- Motivating the work team to perform
- Planning and monitoring work

Assessment
The course is assessed via a reflective review and short written answers that are done with tutorial support during the course. In certain circumstances a professional discussion with the tutor will be used to assess competency. There is no final examination on this programme.

Cost
The cost of this course is £595 + vat this includes a manual, certification and tea/coffee throughout the day. All successful candidates will gain 12 months ILM Study Membership.
This course can also be delivered on an in-house basis, tailored to meet your specific organisational needs, with regards to the units covered and course structure
