This programme is primarily aimed at practising and potential team leaders and first line managers, although it is also suitable for those with experience in the coaching role who do not have a recognised qualification. The aim of this programme is to fully develop the knowledge, skills and confidence of candidates to perform effectively as work place coaches thereby maximising the potential of their team members.

Course Objectives
At the end of the course successful candidates will:
- Have a good understanding of the coaching role
- Know how to effectively coach and mentor their teams
- Have practical skills and knowledge they can quickly transfer to the workplace
- Gain a nationally recognised award
Outline of the Modules Covered

The programme includes an induction, tutorial and three units:
- Understanding good practise in workplace coaching
- Organising workplace coaching
- Undertaking supervised coaching in the workplace

Course Structure
Candidates will need to attend a two-day induction programme, this will be followed by work based activities in their normal working environment. On completion of this candidates will come back for half a day to finish off their portfolio with the course tutor.

Assessment
To achieve the award delegates must:
- Undertake a work-based assignment
- Complete a coaching diary

Cost
The cost of this course is £595 + vat this includes a manual, certification and tea/coffee throughout the day. All successful candidates will gain 12 months ILM Study Membership.
