OCN Level 3 Manual Handling Instructors (With People) Course

Learning outcome are;
Know what is meant by the terms manual handling, risk and hazard
Understand the Manual Handling Regulations and their application in a workplace
Know the safe principles of moving and handling
Know how the spine and muscles can be damaged by poor moving and handling techniques
Understand the effects of perception on moving and handling
Compile a file of information relating to manual handling that is appropriate to the workplace
Understand relevant aspects of learning theory
Prepare for managing and delivering training sessions
Create a range learning resources
Reflect on own practice
Assessment
By practical observation of moving and handling techniques.
A 20 minute micro teach
3 written assignments
Costs
The cost per delegate attending an open course is £495 + VAT. This covers certification, manuals, a full training pack and tea/coffee.
The cost of an in-house course is £4000 + VAT for up to 10 students when run at your venue. Additional students are charged at £300 + VAT each.
This includes certification and manuals for each student, and a training pack
for the company.
