New Assessors Qualifications / A1 Course

There are four new Level 3 qualifications:
- Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practises of Assessment (this covers the theory of assessing only)
- Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment(this is aimed at those who carry out work based assessments – either using National Occupational Standards, Nationally recognised standards or a companies’ own standards)
- Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement(this is aimed at those who may assess outside of the workplace i.e. the classroom or workshop)
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement(this qualification includes all of the above units and as such is ideally suited for those assessing a range of activities – or those whose circumstances may change, it has great longevity).
As with all new qualifications they are broken down into units and as such you can complete units now and add to them in the future to gain higher/different recognition.
Please see the link below for a simple explanation of how the qualifications work and link up.
