OCN Credit4learning Level 3 Infection Control Trainers



This three-day course is aimed at giving care sector trainers the necessary skills and confidence to deliver accredited Infection Control courses. The instructors’ course is a Level 3 qualification that is accredited by OCN Credit4learning – it has a credit
value of 6.

The syllabus includes:

What is meant by the terms infection and cross infection
How infection is transmitted and how to reduce its spread
How to effectively wash hands and what is meant by ‘universal precautions’
The difference between bacterial and viral infections
The groups of people most at risk
The necessary paperwork and audit trail
Preparing and delivering a training session
Reflecting on your own practise

The cost of this course when attending an “open” course is £350.00 + VAT per person. This covers certification, manuals and tea/coffee.
Please note that it does not include any meals or accommodation.

Assessment
• A 20 minute micro teach
• 3 written assignments

Alternatively it can be run at your premises on dates to suit you for groups of up to ten at a cost of £2250.00 + vat.

On completion of the course instructors will be able to run courses that they can certificate on their own or alternatively we can provide an OCN Credit4learning accredited certificate for each candidate at a cost of £20 + vat.
