Safe Guarding Vulnerable People


This course is aimed at raising awareness of the importance of Safe Guarding Vulnerable People. Staff completing this course will be in a better position to implement their company adult protection policy and the procedures they should follow.

On completion of the course, delegates will understand:

- The different types of abuse they may come across
- The definition of a vulnerable adult and an abuser
- Sign and symptoms relating to abuse
- How to deal with abuse
- Legislation relating to abuse
- How to report cases of abuse

The syllabus includes:-

- Types of abuse
- Who is a vulnerable adult?
- Who is an abuser?
- Recognising abuse: signs & symptoms
- Guidelines for dealing with abuse
- Department of Health – ‘No Secrets’
- Dealing with Disclosure

The training is in line with the current legislation and guidelines and can be adapted to suit the particular client group.

If two, half-day courses are run on the same day at the same venue the cost would be £500 + vat. This could either be two of the same courses or a combination of two different ones.

Cost
The cost of this half-day course when run at your premises for a group of up to 14 students is £350 + VAT. Delegates will receive a certificate for their training portfolio on completion of the course.
