Dear Aid Training folks,
I'm not sure if you are interested in former students experiences using their training, but just in case you are....
I'm currently on Madeira, where an elderly chap took a tumble on a mountain side and ended up with bumps and bruises and a 15cm, to the bone, laeration to a shin, (it is all hard volcanic rock here). Of course I had a small kit with me and patched him up for transfer to hospital. I think it is a credit to Chris, who was my instructor, that when we got him to hospital, there was a slight confusion, as at first, when they looked at the job I had done, they thought he had already seen a doctor! Of course in the end there were quite a few sutures needed and as a diabetic, he needed further care. But I was quite proud of that.
Thanks guys and I hope you can let Chis know his work really is making a difference.
