Trevor Hazzell, a lead trainer with Aid Training, enjoys some Cyprus sunshine whilst delivering Advanced Trauma Training to World Vision a Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. World Vision works to change the root causes of poverty through campaigning, church partnerships, education and influencing policy makers.
The course covered a range of trauma and medical conditions aimed at equipping the delegates with a broad range of skills for use in remote and hostile environments. Not all of the candidates spoke English as a first language so Trev used plenty of scenarios to ensure the training was as “hands on” as possible.
