There are three Level 4 qualifications, we are running two of these at present:
- Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Assurance of Assessment Process & Practice
- Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process & Practice
Entry requirements: You are vocationally competent in the role you want to internally quality assure. You need access to 2 assessors.
Course Duration
Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Assurance of Assessment Process & Practice
- 1 day Induction Attending this one day will develop your understanding of the principles of best practice in internal quality assurance (IQA)
Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process & Practice
- 1 day Induction and 1 day Observation The initial 1 day induction will develop your knowledge and train you how to be a good internal quality assurer (IQA). You then go back to your workplace and put into practice what you have learnt
Assessment & certification
Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Assurance of Assessment Process & Practice
- Assessment: You will be assessed for this knowledge unit through a written question bank and a detailed professional discussion with your assessor.
Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process & Practice
- Observation visit: You will be assessed by our IQA Trainer in your workplace undertaking internal quality assurance activity and confirming your knowledge and understanding of internal quality assurance practice

The cost of an in house course for the Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process & Practice is £3900 plus vat for up to 6 delegates, additional delegates thereafter are charged at £350 plus vat up to a maximum of 12 delegates. This includes all certification, registration and instructor associated costs.

As with all qualifications of this type they may be broken down in to units and as such you can complete units now and add to them in the future to gain higher/different recognition. Achieve these qualifications by using a combination of the units below.
You can achieve your chosen qualification by either attending a classroom based induction or undertaking this element online. In all but one case we will need to attend your workplace to conduct observations of your Sampling and Monitoring activities. Please note whether you undertake the classroom based or online qualification your City & Guilds certificate will be the same.
The price on the right of £500.00 + vat is for the Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Assurance of Assessment Process & Practice only, when taken on-line the cost is £350.00 + vat.
