As you will be aware on 1st October 2009 some important changes come into force as regards first aid training. One area that changed is HSE/Ofqual Approval. From 1st October companies who wish to train HSE approved First Aid at Work courses must still be HSE approved. Those that wish to run the new one-day Emergency First Aid at Work course must either be HSE approved or approved by an Ofqual recognised awarding body.
This essentially means that without approval individuals and companies now find it more difficult to certify their own course.
You could get your own approval for this or alternatively you could certify your courses through a us at a fraction of the cost.
Our aim is to continue to support those who have completed our instructors courses, in order to do this we are instigating the following packages.
1. HSE First Aid at Work (FAW) -Three Days and First Aid at Work Requalification - Two Days
- The cost of registration, and a certificate + manual is £15 + vat per delegate.
- If only the registration and certificate is required the cost would be £10 + vat per delegate.

- Evidence of a background in First Aid at Work i.e. a CV
- A suitable training and/or assessing qualification
- A training diary, evidencing what you have previously trained. This is not essential but is a great help. Once registered with us we will keep accurate records of this going forward."

Under current HSE guidelines all trainers and assessors must be assessed by us at least once a year.
Please contact us for details of study days when this can be achieved.
Those organisations which fail to be assessed at least once a year will be suspended from certification until such time as they are seen to comply.
