CTP hosted the new First Responder course at RRC Portsmouth on 18 February 2013. The course which combines the First Aid at Work with an intermediate First Responder qualification and further advanced skills, was a great success.
Aid Training delivered the 5 day course at HMS Nelson using a mixture of classroom based practical and theory sessions along with indoor and outdoor roleplay scenarios. These included responding to a car crash incident and several accidents in the workplace such as falling down a staircase. Attendees on the course were assessed on the final day with a combination of multiple choice papers and group and individual assessments. All 12 attendees successfully passed the course and achieved the qualifications, which are valid for three years.
“Our Instructor, Chris Mahon, did a very good job and made the course an enjoyable experience. I was very happy with the content and felt I got value for money.”
“Even if never used in the workplace I do believe it is a useful skill to have, and has left me with an improved knowledge to take into everyday life.”
