FPOSi is no longer deemed to be sufficient when working in high risk security situations. Those working in these environments really need to consider doing a slightly longer course, that includes extra modules in subjects such as tourniquets, haemostatic agents, blast and penetrating trauma, etc.
With the new ISO28007 for the maritime security and the pending ISO for land based operations, this has become even more or a priority to help ensure compliance. Our five day High Threat and Remote Medics Course, which incorporates FPOSi is a five day package that includes both theory and practical training. It’s delivered by highly experienced ex military medics and is pitched at just the right level – it will “stretch” you but not bamboozle you with unnecessary details. We have regular dates running throughout the country.
